Ecological Resource Centre
-
The Centre
The Indigenous Environmental Interpretation Centre will be the main feature by which cultural diversity can be shared and encouraged. A Centre that presents indigenous philosophies will be the stimulus for the visitor to rethink their relationship to nature.
This centre will provide a hub for the ongoing monitoring of the ecosystem of the Red Hill Valley and surrounding ecosystems. It will also serve as center for regional, national, and International environmental policies and legislation.
Arts will be considered as a form of reclamation of the areas most impacted by industrialization within the Valley. An ecological view of design considers the artwork within larger contexts of how people, plants, and animals are interconnected with each other, the site, and/or the earth.
