Working Together for Future Generations

The Haudenosaunee and City of Hamilton are committed to working together on environmental guardianship of the Red Hill Valley. Grounded in the spirit of shared responsibilities, the Joint Stewardship Board brings together unique and different knowledge and resources in order to restore and protect the Red Hill Valley for future generations.

2013 was a time of renewal for the Joint Stewardship Board; one of revisiting, reviewing and refocusing. The Board was newly re-constructed,  a Board Coordinator was hired, and a new project office was established.  A time of change also provided the Board the opportunity to examine past achievements, embrace current successes,  and learn from these results and experiences. In doing so, we have identified priorities for joint stewardship in the Red Hill Valley which are based on specific, realistic, and attainable actions required to achieve our vision.

Visit the “About Us” tab to learn more about the Red Hill Agreements; the Board and Our Terms of Reference; and Our Vision, Objectives, Stewardship Framework and Work Plan.

The remainder of our website highlights some  successful projects undertaken by the Red Hill Valley Joint Stewardship Board and provides updates on current and planned activities.
